Proud to participate in Give Choose 2022
Thank you Dulles South community for supporting Dulles South Neighborhood Closet’s December 3 community clothing event at Lightridge High School. A record breaking 150 families (700 family members) received clothing assistance. Nearly every participant came by a referral from the Dulles South Food Pantry, a church, or a school in South Riding, Aldie, or Brambleton. Additionally, our November winter coat event served 350 economically disadvantaged children and youth. We are truly grateful for each clothing donation and every gift of financial support whether large or small.
Volunteers make these events happen. In November and December, 140 people volunteered 600 hours of time to serve their most needy neighbors. Dulles South Neighborhood Closet will be back in 2023 and will continue to help anyone in our community in need of clothing.
Dulles South Neighborhood Closet is still accepting all sizes of winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, new socks, and new underwear for the Emergency Closet which operates year round. Email info@dullescloset.org or call or text 703-957-8044 to arrange a drop off. Please save all other unwanted clothing, shoes, and accessories until our next community clothing event on April 29 at Freedom High School.
